Testimonials
As someone new to Pilates, I was nervous about what to expect from a private lesson but Alexis is the most amazing instructor. She quickly put my mind at easy and was able to introduce me to a whole new world of working out. I love how she works my whole body, connecting the muscles and movements together and now after my 11th session, I feel stronger, flexible, and more confident in my Pilates body! I truly look forward to going to my appointments and Alexis is always there to greet me and cheer me on! Thank you for helping change my life!
J Pilates is fabulous! This is my first intro to Pilates and I have fallen in love. The knowledge base of the instructor is amazing. Her ability to assess and focus on my needs is incredible. I feel safe and comfortable in the studio. It’s clean and well cared for. I have seen beautiful changes in my body but also my mind set. The mind body connections that I have learned here are so helpful not just in the studio but in every day life. I can not recommend J Pilates enough. Thank you!!

Find answers to popular questions
How often should I practice Pilates?
Joseph Pilates recommended practicing at least 3 times a week to see significant improvements in strength, flexibility, and overall fitness. Many people practice two to four times a week depending on their goals. My personal favorite is two Pilates sessions and one Resistance Training session per week for the perfect balance of strengthening, flexibility and shaping.
Can Pilates help with back pain?
Yes, Pilates can be very effective for managing and reducing back pain. In a personalized studio session, we will focus on connecting to the body, spinal alignment, arm-back connection, awareness of the head and shoulders to the spine and core strengthening. I have seen clients improve their pain as quick as the first session. Others have reduced their pain with consistent workouts. It is important to take into account any pre-existing conditions and have a physicians clearance for Pilates workouts..
Is Pilates suitable for beginners?
YES! I absolutely love working with beginners as well as all levels of fitness. Pilates is challenging; and that is just one of the reasons why Pilates is so rewarding. You can do hard things! It is my job to learn your movements and know where in your body we need to strengthen connections and muscles. I will personally choose and teach you the exercises on different apparatuses that will assist your body in increasing its strength and connections. Joseph Pilates said “You will feel better in ten sessions, look better in twenty sessions, and have a completely new body in thirty lessons”.
